Project Overview
In 2024, PFC was appointed as the First Chair/Project Coordinator for the Whittaker-Bermite site, a 996-acre property, centrally located within Santa Clarita. The site was previously utilized for munitions testing and manufacturing. PFC is tasked with overseeing the project’s execution, ensuring strict compliance with regulatory requirements, and managing the overall coordination of activities. This includes developing and maintaining comprehensive project schedules, overseeing budget management, and facilitating effective communication among all stakeholders.
PFC is also responsible for coordinating the work of multiple consultants, ensuring alignment with project objectives while optimizing strategies for both efficiency and cost-effectiveness. In addition, PFC serves as the primary liaison with the California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) and other relevant regulatory entities, ensuring timely and clear communication. Regular meetings and status calls are organized to keep all parties informed and engaged throughout the process. By managing these critical aspects, PFC is committed to mitigating risks, enhancing operational efficiency, and supporting the successful remediation and future development of the site.
