Site Overview
The Velsicol Chemical site in North Memphis, Tennessee, is a former chemical manufacturing facility facing significant environmental challenges, including legacy contamination, incomplete permit renewal, and ongoing community concern. The site is undergoing evaluation for long-term environmental trust management in coordination with the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC). It is situated in an urban area with environmental justice considerations and requires both technical oversight and sustained public engagement.

Current Site Status
In 2025 PathForward Consulting (PFC) was selected to serve as the Environmental Response Trustee, assuming responsibility for fiduciary oversight, regulatory coordination, and long-term strategic planning. While the facility is no longer operational, the site remains under active regulatory review and is a priority for environmental justice and community engagement efforts.
